Preptober Prompt: Breathtaking Story Setting

I’m not really sure at the moment which setting is the most breathtaking.  When I thought of the prompt, CafĂ© Ultra came to mind.

It’s a coffee shop, so this place can be a beautiful sensory menagerie.  There will be all kinds of sights that one can see from the people, to the machines, to the pictures on the wall.  The sounds will also be magnificent as well.  The sound of the machines can be hypnotic as well as calming.  Also, the talking of the people can be interesting.  I feel like I want to have one person just people watch, but I’m not sure that will go with the story.  I may have someone watch the ladies as they come in, perhaps a dirty old man. SMILE!  (Not really).

The smells will be a whole different level of sensory depth.  I don’t drink coffee, but I like the smell of it in coffee shops.  There is one flaw with smelling this smell… it’s during allergy season.  Smelling coffee can send me into a sneezing fit.  Also, the smell of colognes mixed with the smell of coffee is interesting.

The atmosphere will be interesting and eclectic because this shop will be visited by a diverse group of people.

I’m looking forward to writing this scenery.  I think I only have it appear once, so I made need to add another scene where I can explore it more.

Blogged Today

I blogged mostly today.  Trying to get my blogs together for NaNoWriMo.  That got me crunk.  Yay!

Here are the blogs for this season:
Gossip (When Tongues Wag) - https://gossip-ddb.blogspot.com/

I printed out the story so far to look over it.  I changed the images for the story, too.  I’m excited.
I need to finish the last two characters.  I’m going to focus on reading tomorrow.
I’ll write a couple more blog posts, too.

Let’s Get It! Let’s GO!

Preptober Prompt: Main Character & Music

My main character, Tammy Andrews enjoys music.  She grew up listening to music from the 60s and 70s.  her family was always playing Gospel and R&B with some Jazz and Blues thrown in the mix.  She’s a big fan of 90s R&B, especially New Jack Swing (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLb6q-JkNLgl2pP7DuKUyn6G_BzagB28tD).  It was big during her formative years.

She enjoys Gospel just as much as she appreciates 90s R&B.  It’s important in her life.  Her family is a religious and devout family, so Gospel was heard in her house all the time.  She’s a big fan of the Clark Sisters.

As a side note, I don’t know if she can sing yet.  She hasn’t told me. LOL!

Edit:  Learn more about Tammy…
